Atraumatic Extractions
In this section of the program, we will review different extraction systems that can assist to atraumatically extract a tooth. You will learn tips and tricks that will allow you to predictably remove any tooth. We will discuss the techniques and guidelines for tooth sectioning, and bone removal during atraumatic extraction procedures.
Fundamentals of Bone Grafts
This section will cover the principles every clinician needs to understand to successfully perform any bone grafting procedure. We will cover topics like bone physiology, blood supply, inflammation, and much more.
Socket Grafting
This section will give you the knowledge, and practical training you need to apply these procedures in your practice.
After removing the tooth, how do you classify the socket? Based on that, what are the different techniques to graft that socket predictably? We will cover socket suturing techniques, membranes, bone grafting materials, medications, and pre & post-op instructions.
This program includes three hands-on exercises that allow you to practice socket grafting type 1 and type 2 sockets, using different techniques like a single membrane, double membrane, and the ice cream cone technique. We will also introduce you to scenarios where soft tissue and biologics can be utilized during the socket grafting procedure.
Socket Grafting with Other Disease Processes
We will walk you through different case examples of how socket grafting was completed in the presence of other infections or pathologies such as periapical pathology or lateral periodontal abscess.
